Hi! I'm Megan. I grew up in Minnesota, and moved to Dubuque when my boyfriend turned fiancé turned husband got a job as an Engineer at John Deere in 2011. We have two adorable, opinionated, hilarious children who keep us on our toes and make sure we stay addicted to coffee.
I graduated with my BSN from Bethel University in St. Paul in 2011. I decided to go back to Bethel to pursue my MSN and become a certified nurse-midwife after my son, Oliver's, birth in 2014. I became passionate about providing postpartum care especially for women during that time. Owen helped me finish out my education and was born two weeks after I took midwifery boards in 2017.
My passion for functional medicine came naturally and evolved over time. It started working with an excellent nutritionist who overhauled my diet to help cope with celiac disease symptoms during nursing school. My master's capstone project was a focus on thyroid health in pregnancy.
I'm excited to help women in my community heal in the most comprehensive, and natural way possible.
